Indonesia is Rich Country

Indonesia's geography is accrossed by two lines, Wallace and Webber Line.
  • Wallace Line is a national line dividing the Indonesian archipelago into two regions : Asian zoogeographical region ( Sundaland ).
  • Webber Line is  separate between "transition species" and species of Australian origin ( Wallacea ).
So, Indonesia has many varieties of flora and fauna. But Indonesia has also their original flora and fauna, it is called endemic.

Indonesia has :
  1. 55,000 species of plants 
  2. 604 mammal species (12% from total amount of mammal species in the world).
  3. 671 reptile species and 300 amphibian species.
  4. 1,421 bird species, Indonesia at Fourth-rank in the wolrd of Birds varieties.

National Love Flora and Fauna Day

The government of Indonesia declared November 5 as the "National Love Flora and Fauna Day", this is to represent the respect of Indonesia to the flora and fauna, and also remember all of us to take care of flora and fauna Indonesia.



Red Fruits ("Buah Merah")

Red Fruit is different with Red Dragon. Red Fruits, in Indonesia known as "Buah Merah", or in Papua called it with "Kuansu".
It grows in all Papua regions, especially in Jayawijaya mountain area, Jayapura, Timika.The characteristics of this fruits are it has red skin with size is around 100 cm in length, 18 cm in diameter length and 7.5 kg in weight.

Papua people recognized "Buah Merah" as a medicine to cure skin disease and prevent blindness, also its can increase human's energy.
Nowadays, many people use the oil of Red Fruits to cure some kinds of diseases, such as :
